FAQs

  • How can I get the best from my candles?

When we send out your order, we include a care sheet which details safety precautions and how to trim your wick before each burn to maximise scent and burn quality.

  • What types of candles do you sell at Wick and Melt?
Our candles are made from 100% soy wax. We have a core range, but also release new scents in limited edition jars.
  • Do you offer wholesale pricing?
Yes, we offer wholesale pricing for bulk orders. Please contact us for more information.
  • Why don't my wax melts look the same from my previous order?
As we hand pour all our melts, the shape and colour can sometimes vary in batches. Suppliers may also discontinue glitters, micas and dyes so alternatives are sought. However, we still use the same quality waxes and fragrance oils.
  • Are your candles eco-friendly?
Yes, we pride ourselves on using eco-friendly materials such as soy wax, cotton wicks, and recyclable packaging. The wax and fragrance we use is vegan friendly and not tested on animals.
  • When should I change my wax melts?
This is personal preference! Some fragrances are stronger than others and last longer. You may want to change fragrances after one burn period, or you may be happy with remelting a few times over before the fragrance through fades. You may simply want to try out a new fragrance. The decision is yours!
  • How long should my melts smell for?
The intensity of the fragrance will depend on your room size, temperature of your room and the amount of melts used. For the best results, close the windows in the room where you are using your melt burner/wax melts and avoid keeping it near any draughts.
  • I'd like to try wax melts, but I don't have a wax melt burner. Where can I get one?
Our shop! We have a range of styles and colours! Visit the shop to choose your favourite.
  • What tea lights should I use with my burner?
Unscented tealights are best with a wax burner. If using fragranced tea lights, the fragrance in them will mean the tealight burns at a higher temperature which could cause your wax burner to get too hot. Never use more than one tealight in your burner at a time, as this is a fire hazard
  • I can't find my favourite wax melts on your shop. Can I still get them?
Occasionally, we may change our product range. If your favourite fragrance has disappeared, we're sorry! Sometimes we may have the supplies to make you up a batch. We can try, but we can't guarantee it. Drop us a line in our "Contact Us" section and we'll see what we can rustle up!
